life changes...

this week will be my last week at school! after a lot of thought i've decided to take a full-time position at my dad's law firm. i have mixed feelings about it because im really going to miss my kids and teaching, but the salary was just too tempting :) it will definetly help us out a lot, and it will be a great challenge for me so i am excited to start a new journey there...justin is still searching for teaching jobs and in the meantime is the director of the ymca summer camps in woodbury. he is looking forward to going back for his yearly week of work at the fair! we are having a lot of fun settling into our new life together, and have had a number of really great weekends with our friends...this time in our lives is truly some of the best memories and experiences we've ever had as a couple, and on our own. we can only hope other people have friends like we do to share their time with!

everyone's been bugging me to get on here and blog, so here are some updates for you guys! the honeymoon was unbelievable. we relaxed in the sun, drank in the shade, ate at 5 star resteraunts, and danced the night away under the stars! our resort was so beautiful and romantic. we enjoyed learning how to scuba dive, and my personal favorite was salsa dancing lessons. we went to playa del carmen one night, and cancun one of the days. we had private beachfront massages, and massage lessons, and ordered room service everyday! the food was so good that we sometimes stopped by 2 or 3 resteraunts at night to try different appetizers or desserts :) each meal had 5 courses! we also had fun with the live nightly dj, casino night, and other fun events...each night was something different, including "el dorado idol." we had so much fun and took tons of pictures. we were so goofy! here are a few to share with you.

aaaaand we're back!

we are back from our honeymoon and MARRIED! it feels awesome!! the last week and a half has been a whirlwind and we are looking forward to settling down now that we are home. we had such an amazing wedding and made so many more great memories with our families and friends. we can't begin to describe how special that day was for us--and how thankful we are to everyone involved. we got compliments from every person we talked to that it was the funnest, most personalized and memorable wedding they had ever been to....and i am very proud of that being that i was the wedding planner! it was an absolute blast. one of the hits of the night was our photo booth. check out www.partybooths.com and click on view our event to see how much fun everyone had. the event key is feldkamp. it really was one awesome party! when things settle down we will post some pictures....for now we are nesting as newlyweds!!!!!!!!!! <3

here are some other wedding treasures i've collected :o) i hand dyed my garter to look vintage and it turned out great, and i found the dress in chicago to wear to our brunch the day after the wedding. i looked high and low for some longer earrings that suited my taste and vintage feel and i finally found them at a cute little boutque in downtown stillwater! i had a minor heart attack when i looked at the price, but they were perfect so i just had to get them...and of course my dad has to spoil me so he bought them for me ;) i love them! the brooch is for my hair, and the pearl bracelet was my grandma's. i'm so excited to wear them because they really compliment my dress!

memorial weekend

finally updates and pictures from our productive memorial weekend! i went to my grandparents house for a visit and they helped me get a number of things ready for the wedding. Most of my favorite memories of my childhood come from my grandparents house, or time spent with them, so it's always a really good time when we get to see them. i hold them very close to my heart!

the pictures above are of us making chocolate brown centerpiece squares, a card box, and a table and planter my grandparents bought for us. my grandma says every home needs some green because it softens it...she's trying to pass on her very green thumb to me :o)
