justin and i had a wonderful weekend! we are so blessed with great family and friends. we visited with friends on friday night, and family on saturday. saturday morning we headed out to justin's dad's house and spent the afternoon there. it's nice to be able to see family after a long week at work! justin's dad and vonn helped him with his taxes and we did some wedding planning. after that we headed to mike and cindy's for a fabulous mexican fiesta! we taught them how to make guacamole and cindy made us some good drinks. she also made us the most delicious chicken enchiladas i have ever had! it was fun to see them again and to catch up on everything. we came home and relaxed and on sunday we did a whole lot of nothing--and it was amazing :)

easter bunny

easter came and went so fast this year. i had good friday off of work so i moved a bunch of my things over to the house, and finished up a few chores. then justin and i headed to my grandparents in rochester with my mom, sister, and brother. we decorated easter eggs, made a bunny cake, and made home made chocolate eggs (think cadbury cream eggs) , which are traditions in our family. and of course we had our annual easter egg hunt. due to the fabulously snowy weather this easter, we had to hold it in doors. each year we hide around 100 eggs, including two very special ones....the silver and the golden egg. each of them holds a good amount of money. each year i hope to find the golden egg (which i haven't in like 3 years) but this year i settled for the silver. my sister found the golden egg inside a loaf of bread at the dinner table (our family is intense at the egg hunt :) it was really fun. but of course we celebrated the real reason of easter, Jesus is Risen! it was a nice and relaxing weekend with my family.

this weekend flew by but we got a lot accomplished. we finished painting our mudroom and the downstairs bathroom...and I am happy to say that we have no rooms left to paint! just in time for my next shower held on April 5th at our home! we also finally received our head/foot board for our bed and were able to hang up the rest of our pictures/decorations. it feels good to be almost settled!

registering has been really fun! today someone asked me where our favorite place we registered was, and what some of our favorite registered items are. we are really excited about our crate and barrel registry-because we have a lot of fun things on there that we don't "need" and wouldn't necessarily buy for ourselves. alot of the items on our target registry are more necessities-still fun but less exciting! we were also really surprised at some of crate and barrel's prices, they were more reasonable than we thought. it's really fun to log on and take a sneak peek at what's been bought already, even though i try not to! :)

justin is back! it was fun catching up with him and hearing about his trip. we spent some time going over some wedding details like the guest list and the plan/timing for the day. too many details to coordinate! i'm anxiously awaiting for spring, and the wedding festivities. i received an invite in the mail for my next shower, thrown by meghan and jenni. they hand made the invitations and they were absolutely adorable! all i know is that it is honeymoon themed-and the rest is a secret. i am excited and anxious to see what they have planned for me!

justin left on saturday for a ski trip to steamboat springs, colorado. when i was a little girl it was our yearly vacation spot, and i have many great memories of being there. this year it was just a boys trip, so he joined my dad, brother, and grandpa and my dad's best friend for a week in the mountains. since i finally had a free night, i met my good friend lindsey for dinner and we had a great time catching up and reliving our funny childhood stories-where we lived across the street from each other. each time we get together i remember how much i miss her! i love her to death. it was really fun....it's getting a little lonely around here and i'm starting to count the days until the boys return!

this weekend was a blast. my friend amy came into town to visit and to come to my bridal shower, so we all went out on friday night to the wild onion. we had so much fun hanging out, catching up, and dancing....did i mention justin and amy's boyfriend deren know how to bust a move? they were hilarious on the dance floor! on saturday my grandma and mom hosted my first bridal shower. it was kitchen themed so everyone brought their favorite recipe to share with me...my favorite was from justin's aunt cindy...who brought me justin's favorite recipe that she makes. it will be fun to cook something I already know he likes! how fun it will be to cook my friend's and familes favorite dishes! we had a great time eating good food, playing fun games, and visiting. the guests got a sneak peek at my dress and our wedding bands. it really was a great party, and a very fun weekend!
